I am so excited to kick off another year at MCPS! This marks my tenth year teaching and my sixth year in Pre-K...I absolutely love working with 4 year olds!
Although I didn't always think I would be a teacher, I am so thankful that God chose this path for me. I completely love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else! In 2005, I earned my bachelor's degree in Interrelated Special Education from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from UGA in 2010.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband of nine years, Ryan, and our children, Brooks (7) and Wesli (almost 2). I also enjoy cake decorating, painting, reading celebrity magazines (awful, I know), baseball, listening to country music, and cheering on the Dawgs!
Miss Damita
Miss Damita is the assistant teacher in our classroom and she is definitely Mrs. Heather's right hand! Miss Damita, a Morgan County High School graduate, has been working at MCPS in pre-k for a LONG TIME :) and is full of great ideas for our students!
When she is not working at MCPS, you can find her at Dollar General where she works part-time or spending time with her family!
