Forest Animals Continued!

Yesterday, to begin our week, our class read the oh-so-fun story, Going On a Bear Hunt!  After reading, we used our creative brains to make a story map of the scenes in the story during small groups!

We had to go through thick, oozey mud...

 We had to go through a deep, dark forest...

 We had to go through a swirling, whirling snowstorm...

 We had to go through a deep, cold river...

 We had to go through a dark, gloomy cave...

 We had to go through tall, wavy grass...

We also read about owls and got to play a cool game to help us learn owl facts!  Since owls are nocturnal (we have been talking about that big kid word alot), we turned out all the lights and used flashlights to hunt hidden owl fact cards around the room!  Everyone got to take a turn with a partner...see some of our photos below!
