All About Dinosaurs!

We drew dinosaurs by watching Mrs. Heather and copying the line she made!  We are practicing for the Animated Alphabet drawings we will do in kindergarten!!

We predicted whether or not we thought our entire class could fit a footprint on a giant dinosaur footprint!  Most of us thought we could!  Then, we tested our theory by tracing everyone's footprint on a dinosaur footprint.  Our guess was right!  The whole class fit and we even had some space left over!!

We also made a volcano with baking soda and vinegar!  So fun!  After we made our volcano, we drew pictures of what we saw!

We also read a story about how scientists CAREFULLY dug up dinosaur bones.  To practice their technique, we used a toothpick to "excavate" candy pieces from cookies!

Coming up next week...dinosaur fossils, observing the ACTUAL size of dinosaurs, lava lamps, a stegosaurus snack, dinosaur skeletons made with pasta, and so much more!

  1. This would be a great time for us to take Campbell to Fernbank and show him the dinosaurs there. I think he'd really enjoy it after studying dinosaurs at school. We just might have to look into that. Would you be interested in taking Brooks and going with us?
