Mrs. Heather

I am so excited to kick off another year at MCPS! This marks my tenth year teaching and my sixth year in Pre-K...I absolutely love working with 4 year olds!

Although I didn't always think I would be a teacher, I am so thankful that God chose this path for me. I completely love my job and couldn't imagine doing anything else! In 2005, I earned my bachelor's degree in Interrelated Special Education from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from UGA in 2010.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband of nine years, Ryan, and our children, Brooks (7) and Wesli (almost 2). I also enjoy cake decorating, painting, reading celebrity magazines (awful, I know), baseball, listening to country music, and cheering on the Dawgs!

ROCKING IN OUR SCHOOL SHOES

We were finally able to open centers and the kids are ecstatic!!! There are still so many fun activities to introduce, but they are enjoying using toys from the Block Center, Library, and Table Toys!!
