We started our morning with a leaf hunt! We looked all over campus for beautiful leaves in fall colors!
Then, we made a giant floor graph of the leaves we found!
Our class found mostly brown leaves!
Just as we were finishing up our leaf project, we got a surprise call from the office to come to the cafeteria for an Eric Litwin performance!! He sang all our favorite Pete the Cat songs!! Thank you so much to PTO for this special treat!!
Next, we had a birthday celebration! Happy Birthday Jordan!
Then, if that weren't enough excitement, we did a science experiment with FIRE!!
First, we read these books about what to do if our clothing caught on fire.
Then, we practiced what how to stop, drop, and roll!
And, finally, we conducted our experiment to find out why we should stop, drop, and roll! First, we lit a candle in a jar.
When we closed the jar, the candle went out!!
We learned that fire needs the air to burn, and when we closed the jar, we took the air away so the fire went out! If we roll on the ground when our clothes are on fire, we are able to take away the air from the fire (smother it)!
