I almost forgot to share our two special activities from last Friday. On the last day of our farm unit, we made butter...yes, REAL butter! First, we put some whipping cream and salt in a baby food jar...
sealed it super tight...
and took turns shaking our jar for a looooooong time!
When we opened the jar...we couldn't believe our eyes!!
Each of us got a little taste of the butter on a cracker.
Now for the taste test!
Afterwards, we made a graph of who liked and disliked the butter we made! As you can see, the butter was a hit!
We also had surprise visitors from the high school last Friday! Three "big kids", as we like to say, came and read stories to our class! What a fun surprise!
