Chicken Little

This week, the classic tale we are studying is...

In this version of Chicken Little, an acorn falls on Chicken Little's head and he thinks the sky is falling.  As he runs around in a panic, he meets and gets several other farm birds to join him...Henny Penny, Ducky Lucky, Loosey Goosey, and Turkey Lurkey!  In their frantic rambling, they bump into a fox that invites them into his "dark cave" to keep them out of danger.  Unfortunately, the "dark cave" is actually his mouth and they actually climb right in!  Lucky for the birds, the fox sneezes, throwing the birds right out of his mouth, and they all run for their lives!

And, of course, we had to act out the story!

Meet our stars!  Teddy as Chicken Little, Nikki as Henny Penny, Landon G. as Ducky Lucky, Gabby as Loosey Goosey, Rudra as Turkey Lurkey, and Pierre as the tricky Fox

 The acorn hits Chicken Little on the head and knocks him out!!  Don't worry...it was just a pom pom ball!

 Chicken Little meets Henny Penny and she joins him...

 Then, they bump into Loosey Goosey and she joins them!  The kids really liked acting out the "bumping" part...

 Then, Ducky Lucky joins in...

 And Turkey Lurkey, too...

 Uh-oh!  Here comes the fox...

 Look at those great big teeth!!  In this photo, Pierre is telling Mrs. Heather that he can't make his teeth any bigger..."I just got little ones, Mrs. Heather!"

 That tricky fox trying to convince the birds to jump in "the cave"...

 Open wide...

 Lights out in the cave...
